I recently had to move from a 2nd floor apartment into a new house, moving large, heavy objects is nearly impossible for me to do now. A coworker recommended yourmovingday so I decided to give them a ring. Their office personnel were very thorough and helpful with providing information, as well as gathering it. They hold themselves to a high degree of responsibility than most other movers I have worked with (and being military, I moved often).
The movers arrived on time, and they were very professional and very quick to jump right into work. What impressed me was that they had some special equipment that they attached to the doors in order to prevent any accidental damages to the door frames or the furniture being moved. Within 10 minutes, they had the large pieces of furniture in the truck, and they kindly offered to help with other pieces of furniture that I originally figured I would move myself. They were very meticulous to take care of all the items moved.
When we arrived at the house, I will admit that I was a bit worried because the main floor is hardwood. without saying a word, I noticed that they were unfurling several durable rolls of carpet and laying them out on the floors, as well as bringing out the same door frame guards they had before. My floor was safe! They quickly unpacked everything and told me to do nothing more than tell them where to put things (I think they noticed my injuries and limping, as they refused any help I tried to offer by the way of moving things).
After it was all done, I was shocked to see that so much had been done in less than an hour by these great guys. I figured I would have to pay more because what they moved was far more than what I originally asked for, but they brushed it off and only charged me for what they quoted me. They refused to accept any tips, and I practically had to force a couple bottle of Gatorade on them because they were being too polite to accept them initially. When all was said and done, I paid for the two hours that I was quoted, without any additional fees or charges. They had managed to move a significant chunk of my apartment in record time, and did not leave even a trace of dirt in the apartment or the home I moved into.
I am very thankful to yourmovingday and walsh moving for all of the help they gave me on what would have been a very difficult move and I will definitely use their services again!
