I ended up paying 4 times more than what I was quoted. I was given an estimate of 4 hours for a 3 bedroom. They said that everything you need is included. When the movers came the main person said that there's a charge for boxes, for the cardboard to protect the glass, etc. He also said that it will take longer than 4 hours with 4 people.
One guy was on the phone for most of the time he was moving our stuff. One guy is so slow he could barely move. Although, there were two guys that were really good. From the estimate of 4 hours, it ended up being 8 hours. The travel time was only 10 minutes away, so it wasn't far at all.
I could also hear them complaining that the items were heavy. Well, if they weren't I wouldn't have hired supposedly "professional" movers.
I get the final bill, the main guy gives me the invoice. From an estimate of less than $400, I ended up paying $1300. That is just ridiculous.
So, for you future movers, beware. Make sure to ask a lot of questions. What's included, how much extra do you have to pay for.
