Since my move was a corporate paid move, I was not looking for a "cheap" company, but a reputable company that would relocate my items from point a to point b in a timely manner, without destroying my items, and would give me an honest estimate that would not double or triple after the fact. My firm supplied me with a list of preferred moving companies which I had 3 of their reps come to our residence and give us visual estimates. They were all roughly at 15,000 pounds give or take and with the packing and insurance valuation they were fairly close in price at around $10,500. America's Moving Services worked with the inventory lists provided by those companies and came to an estimated weight 12,500 pounds and a price of $6,400 total with everything included. I chose America's Moving Services due to their stellar reviews all over the internet and their rating with their local BBB. They set us up for a confirmed pick up date of April 3rd or 4th and their driver Kevin called on the 2nd to confirm pick up was for the 4th and he would be at my door at 8am. Sunday the 4th at 8 am Both Kevin and his backup Mike were at our home and Kevin began to inventory everything while Mike began the packing, dishes, clothes, china cabinet etc... It took them the entire day to pack and inventory and the next morning they loaded the rest of the items that they didn't finish the day before. Kevin said that someone from the office would call as soon as he faxed the weight tickets and pack list to them and it would probably be within an hour or 2. It was actually 3 hours later and Josh Robinson called me to let me know that our weight of the items was actually 1,080 pounds lighter than the estimate and the packing was less as well and when all was said and done we owed $475.00 less than the quote. We made up the difference by tipping both Kevin and Mike generously because they certainly deserved it. They picked us up on time, delivered us 3 days later when we wanted it, cost was less than quoted, and our items did not have a scratch on them. We would 100% recommend this company to anyone considering a move. We were extremely happy with them and they literally made what could have been a very stressful time, very easy for us.
