I left a very negative review for americas moving services about our move from new york to florida a few months back and since then we have reconciled the issues with their company. We understand that things happen and there are some issues that can not be helped especially in the transportation industry because we have family members in the logistics portion, we are o.k with the timing issues we had with them and to refresh the story they were 2 days late picking our goods up in Buffalo and it was understandable because it was during january and there was severe winter weather, we were not o.k with the communication because we nearly had to initiate all phone calls to them even though they were very receptive to our calls and seemed quite nervous they would be able to have a truck pick us up at all due to the weather. A few things we reviewed were out of anger and frustration at the time and we apologize for that, our estimate was based on an in-home visual estimate from what we believed to be a reputable company at the time and have since found out that they give low ball estimates just to get the move and then raise the price on the customers. America's movers advised us that they would like to go over an inventory list with us but we did refuse. When the driver showed up we were already upset that they were late and then they revised the estimate at our home and we did not want the revised estimate and wanted to stick with what we thought was an accurate weight given by All Included moving that actually wound up being underestimated by a great amount. When they weighed the truck we found that the in home estimate was off by roughly 3,000 pounds and we did lay the blame on americas moving which was wrong for us to do. At the end of the day, they did a great job moving our items from NY to GA and they were not at fault for the horrible estimate the other moving company did. We have since spoken with the owners of the company and apologies were exchanged by both parties and they offered us what we felt was a fair amount of comensation for the 2 day delay plus they compensated us for a 2 day hotel stay and food. They gave us and we recieved nearly $400.00 and we would like to apologize for saying really bad things about their company. They did not ask us to post this review but we felt it was neccessary because now that we have had a few months to think about it, they really weren't the ones to blame other than the late pick up they were very easy to deal with and knowing our tempers, we know that we were more to blame then them. We have actually since the move, given their information to a close friend of the family who posted a positive review on their company.
