I moved for business and my move was fully paid for by my company and I had a budget of $6000 for the move. I chose Americas Moving for their reviews and standing with the Better Business Bureau. The movers did a great job and were very easy to deal with considering that my fiance was almost on their backs the entire day. Packing was great, loading went great as well. They drove to the truck station to weigh our furniture and told us to expect a call from dispatch by the next moring with the total. We did get a call from Josh at around 11am with the balance being slightly less the the quoted price which was good and appreciated. The only item we had issue with during the course of the move was the delivery and transit time being 7 days. We were initially told between 4 and 10 days for dfelivery and I was very explicit in telling them I needed it within 5 days and even though they didn't guarantee it would be there in 5 days or less the manager Eric said he would do his best to get it there. Their driver Nathan did call me a few times during the week and he did keep me informed about the route but I was still upset about not recieving everything in 5 days. I spoke to several people in the office including Eric (the owner) Josh (the customer care manager) Albert (customer care rep) Howard (the other owner) and Jerimia (my original rep) each of whom were helpful but all said the same thing basically, it would be on the seventh day. Finally after several calls, Eric Schneider told me that even though they were not obligated to compensate me for taking 7 days, he would do so since it was a corporate move and once the move was complete he would send me a release letter and once I signed it I would recieve my $200.00 check. Everything was recieved in perfect condition on the seventh morning and I in return sent back the letter and yesterday I recieved the promised check. I would like to say that the move went as perfect as a move could go and I should know I've moved half a dozen times in the last 5 years, I will be moving again within the next year and I will be using their company for that move adn would have absolutely no problem referring other people to their company.
