Absolute crap movers. I'm certain the reviews on other sites are planted by company employees. They were local to me, and everyone I've spoken with who knows of them absolutely pans them. DO NOTE HIRE.
They quoted me at a lower rate than other companies, but upon further review I realized their cubic feet for a "box" was much lower than everyone else's. So when I said 40 boxes, they estimated it taking up about half the amount of space that it actually did. Therefore, the final cost was nearly double what I was initially quoted.
On the day they were to move me, they gave me a 2-hr window in which they would arrive. When that time passed, still without notice, I called them. They were going to be at 4 hours late. After four hours, they still hadn't come. In the end, they were 6 hours late for pickup. A full day of work, essentially lost waiting around for them.
The men who loaded up my truck were utterly careless. They paid no heed to boxes marked fragile as they bounced items down the stairs. I have moved across country twice without a single dish broken, but this time I lost much glassware, in spite of extremely cautious packing. They also broke a dresser & a bookshelf beyond the point of salvage. After all was said and done, I'd tipped the men what I thought was a fair amount given the poor service I received and their tardiness--$40 each for 3 guys, over a 90 minute job--the leader basically refused to leave until I tipped them more. In the end I folded and just gave them all the cash I had left in my wallet.
They give themselves a huge window as for when your stuff is delivered. And they will max out the time. 14 business days is 3 full weeks, which is what it took. When they arrived, the driver rear ended a parked car with his 18 wheeler. The insurance is so bad that it's not worth it to file a claim to try to recoup losses for the broken furniture. The only good thing is that they didn't steal anything.
