We called several local moving companies for our move. Great American Van Lines responded quickly to our inquiry with a competitive rate, so we hired them - and they were great! We did all of our own packing and moved some fragile things ahead of time to save money - but these guys did a fantastic job moving our furniture and boxes under time and under budget! It's always tempting to think that you can just rent a truck and bribe some friends with beer and pizza - but I've done that before, and the three-man crew from Great American Van Lines did in less than 3 hours what would have taken twice as many friends-and-family all day long to accomplish - not even counting the hassle of renting and returning a truck. Our move was hassle-free and smooth-as-silk - I've already recommended them to two co-workers who are also moving this summer, and would use them again in a heartbeat.
