NEVER USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!!!!

We have never moved long distance before, so I searched for a moving company that I thought was very reliable and honest - the reviews I found for US Relocation Systems were fair, so we chose them. My daughter needed a moving company for her move from Gaithersburg MD to Charleston SC. John was the salesman I spoke with and received a reasonable quote from. In the process of getting the estimate, he was always available via phone/email and returned my calls and answered all of my questions promptly. This move was taking place the week between Christmas and New Years so I confirmed with John that this would not delay anything so we booked it. I never received any other calls confirming when they would be at the apartment to pick up, so I called them a few days before the pick up to make sure everything was still on schedule and they confirmed same. The three guys that arrived on move day called one hour before arrival to confirm. They were very efficient and pleasant with packing all of my daughters belongings. However, they said since the hallway was longer than expected, that they would need to charge an extra $75 along with an extra $50 for packing up a dresser that had a mirror. We negotiated the extra cost for a total of $100. When John sold us the contract, he said it would take three days for the movers to get to Charleston SC so we left the day after they picked up her stuff and headed down to SC to be there when the movers came. We waited 3 days and no call so I called US relocations and they said John was out for awhile. I asked to speak with someone else and they said I needed to talk to dispatch, so I spoke with them and they said the delivery wasn't scheduled until Jan 6-7 which was a week later. We were stranded in a hotel for 9 days waiting for them to deliver the furniture. When they finally did call to say when they would be there, they said they had the furniture in an 18 wheeler and since it would fit into my daughter's apartment parking lot that we would be charged $200 extra so they could transfer everything to a smaller truck. When they finally arrived, we had to pay them the extra $200 and they did bring in all of the furniture which was undamaged. They did keep track of everything but we are EXTREMELY unhappy that we had to pay an extra $300 and wait an extra week to get our furniture delivered. It cost us an extra $500 for the hotel we had to stay at which was unplanned and caused a very big hardship at this time. WE WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND I WARN EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND USE ANYONE ELSE!!!
