We were lured by their 'lowest rates' and 'free boxes'. They promosed that they woud deliver the free boxes on Inspection day, a few days before the move. The Inspector played innocent, and said that he'd have to charge us extra (!). So we decided to let it go, and have the boxes come to us on the move day. Turns out each box can barely hold a few books, and we ended up moving a lot of our stuff ourselves. Other facts:
1. Estimate was $350, we paid $685. They cleverly forgot to mention packaging charges in the estimate. ($4 for an old rug used as a pad - give me a break!)
2. The Inspector estimated a drive time of 30 mins, while the movers demanded 1.5 hours. We negotiated it down to 1 hour.
3. We paid in excess of $250 on packaging charges for things such as tape and pads. They grossly misinformed us in the estimate.
4. Demanded $150 tip, and would not leave until! Unprofessional behavior.
I will never hire these people again. Recommend that you not fall for their cheap tricks.
