After spending time reviewing quotes and reviews on line we decided to go with ABF U-pack for a ReloCube since it was the cheapest. There were numerous complaints but we had a wonderful experience. First we got a quote on line and then phoned in to book the cube once we knew our dates. A bit later we decided we needed a guaranteed delivery date and called to get a quote for that. One or two days later we called to add that to the package. The new person gave me a higher quote but after I said we had a better price he reduced it. I did see some complaints about pricing changing so maybe this is true, but we did get the lower quote. I did keep notes on who I spoke with, date and pricing provided. The cube arrived on time. There is a 4 hour window so you have to be present for the whole 4 hours and it may not arrive until the end, but it is within the window. Our cube arrived at the beginning of the 4 hour window. The driver was polite and said he could put the cube anywhere we liked. He was careful to try to stay off the lawn even though the wheels were wider than our driveway. We filled the cube following the instructions that came with the email confirmation. This is key I think. We packed, repacked, stuffed, tightened and did all we could to pack high and tight as recommended. We tried moving things as if the cube was being bounced around and if it felt loose we repacked until it was good. We used numerous moving pads on the furniture to protect it. At the halfway mark in the truck we added 3 straps to pull the load tight and keep it from moving forward. We then packed the rest of the truck not as high and again packed and repacked until everything was tight. Finally we added another strap to secure everything. We fully expected some damage. We also locked the cube as instructed. ABF picked the cube up the next day after I called, saying we did not need to be present. I tried to follow the shipment on line but it never did update. Even today after the move is complete it still says reserved. So I had to call to check to make sure it was moving. Every time I called the person I spoke to was polite and gave me the updated information. I even called the arriving state location to make sure everything was OK because some people had written that they had problems. Again, no issues. The cube arrived on a Monday and we had it scheduled for delivery on a Thursday. So it sat and waited for us. Called the day before delivery and yes everything was on schedule. ABF tried to call me the day of delivery to deliver earlier and I did not answer since my phone was off. They were not upset and did deliver on schedule. We opened the cube and nothing, absolutely nothing was broken or out of place. Proper packaging is very important. We unpacked, called for pick up and away went the cube. Everything went perfectly and everyone we spoke to was great. Obviously things can go wrong, but being proactive with written information about quotes and phone calls, proper packing and follow up can ensure a great move.
