No delivery/contact till estimated delivery date, nobody picks up phone or responds to emails. Charged extra at pickup, no guarantee of delivery. Contacted Mr.Jay Stevens for move from CO to CT, he assured to seal the deal by 1. confirming estimated pickup date- 15th Sep, est. delivery date- 24th-25th Sep in the quote; 2. assuring no extra charges for stairs and 3. all payments to be done at time of delivery. He called numerous times till $500 advance paid in company account in bank of America on Sep 4th. Problems: 1. Not reachable when No pickup on 15th, had to call several times on 14th, 15th, 16th Sep to know about the problem. No answers. (not in deal) 2. A local mover (Joe) arranged by Alpine came to pickup our stuff on Sep 17th, charged for stairs and extra boxes. ORIGINAL ESTIMATE of $2020 became $2570. Joe took half payment at pickup. (not in deal) 3. Dispatch personnel Tom told us to pay half amount that time and confirmed to adjust and revise the estimate accordingly. (not yet done) 4. No one picked up stuff from Colorado warehouse even after a week. Now Joe says he does not know, contact Alpine. Called Tom on 24th, kept us on hold for more than 1 hour. never called back or picked up again on Sep 25th, 26th. 5. Emailed Jay Stevens several times, he just sent one sentence reply that he is no longer responsible and can't answer. 6. Tom and Jay told they are in this business since last 10-15 years and we are unnecessarily worried, However the amount is hard-earned money which they took and did not sent a receipt yet. Everything was done at the last minute, when we had no other option but to simply agree to their terms at the moment. No delivery till today (10-16-2015) or neither they sent us the revised estimate with increased price, or any of the receipt of payments done or any information about the new schedule to deliver our stuff. Took advantage of us. We did not suspect such fraud and frustrating behavior from any services in the US.
