I called several of the top moving companies on this website and got quotes from about 4 of them and out of all I chose america's moving services. They were the most expensive but also the most informative by far. One of the movers quoted me by cubic feet which I found out was illegal for interstate moves and immediately dismissed them, another quoted me $1,000.00 for the same exact service which I found to be way too suspect considering it would cost almost as much to rent a U-haul and do it myself and americas went through EVERYTHING from packing to delivery times. I really liked Eric and they "up front" approach and even called one of the other moving companies back and asked them about several key points Eric warned me about and they were shell shocked and really didn't have the answers once I asked them. My pick-up was scheduled for the 21st or 22nd of March and the movers called on the 20th to inform me they would arrive on the morning of the 22nd and they did. They started packing and I was quoted 60 boxes and since they only packed 48 I was only charged for 48 which was very nice and my weight was slightly higher than the estimate by 700 lbs. but the packing almost squashed the additional weight fee so I was happy about that too. The only thing that was a minor disappointment was the delivery took 6 days and I was really hoping for 2 or 3 since I would have to spend 3 days without my belongings but I was told between 3 and 7 days for delivery so it was explained to me. Really though, they were great and very professional and no hidden fees meant no hidden fees and I paid about $125.00 less than the quote of $4250.00. I would definately use them again if I have to move and I expect that they do a pretty good job with all of the positive reviews on this website. Great job!!!
