When our family was moving from Boise to Atlanta in September we searched the internet for reliable and affordable moving companies to relocate us. More importantly than price which was definately an issue was the fact that we wanted everything to arrive safely and for the most part undamaged. We researched literally 50 companies in the months prior to the move and came up with a few that we seriously considered. We narrowed down our search to 4 companies that all seemed very reliable and finally settled on americas moving services for a few reasons, their price was MUCH lower than the local North American Van Lines agent here in Boise, their bbb rating was an A, and most of all, we had the opportunity to deal with the owner of the company, Howard who was extremely knowledgable about everything related to moving and was not only honest, but he even recommended that we consider his competition NAVL. We were considering them but we found their price to be way more than we could afford, americas moving services quoted us $5,150.00 for the relocation including some packing and NAVL quoted us $7,200.00 for the same exact services (americas based their quote off of the quote we emailed them from NAVL) so, obviously we chose americas moving services and set up a pick up window for the 12th or 13th of September with a strong preference for the 13th. Josh, the customer service manager called us on the 10th to inform us that the driver should be calling on the 11th to arrange a time to pick us up on the 12th, again not the day we wanted but it was part of our 2 day window, when we explained that we really needed the 13th for pick up he said he would see what he could do and call us back. Within 20 minutes he called and said the driver agreed to wait until the 13th and would call us the next day to arrange the timing. The next afternoon we recieved a call from Ely saying that in fact he was going to wait the extra day and be at our house on the 13th at 7am which we agreed to. On the 13th at 7:15 am ely showed up in a HUGE semi truck with his helper Michael and began to pack and load up which took them about 5 hours total and told us he was going to weigh the truck and would call us later that day with our weight. He called us at around 4 and let us know that the weight was slightly more than the estimate (we were estimated at 7,450 lbs and the shipment actually weighed 7,823 lbs.) cut to the end, 10 days later on the 23rd, Ely and a new helper shafer was his name I think and they did a great job. We would recommend and refer this company to anyone who may be moving in the future.
