(we are First Call Movers - we've tried to register on this website for weeks but the website operators are ignoring our repeated requests so this is our only way to respond to Mary Halpert's complaint above) First Call Movers provides the highest level of service and strives to exceed the customer’s expectations according to the information provided when the estimate is prepared. If the customer modifies that information then we work with the moving company to accommodate the customer’s needs. According to AmeriSouth Relocation, Ms. Halpert requested re-scheduling of delivery due to an unforeseen emergency that led to the re-scheduling conflicts and related additional charges by AmeriSouth Relocation. The agreement states that packing tape and moving pads are free, not all packing materials as claimed by Ms. Halpert. In addition, the agreement includes reassembly for all items disassembled by the moving company. It is our understanding that the treadmill Ms. Halpert wanted reassembled was disassembled by her, not the moving company. AmeriSouth Relocation also reported a dispute of a personal nature involving heated words between their delivery driver and Ms. Halpert’s son. Upon learning of this problem, First Call Movers offered to resolve the situation at its own expense. With respect to the transcribed conversation between Ms. Halpert and AmeriSouth Relocation, we at First Call Movers are of course disappointed to see such an apparent lack of professionalism and we will not do business with a moving company that treats its customers poorly. First Call Movers stands behind its work and takes pride in operating in the most ethical manner.
