ATOPPS was contracted through Budget Van Lines to do our moving. We did not know ATOPPS would be doing our move until the day we got the call telling us they were on their way. The move took place during mid- to late- March, 2009.
Although we were promised a 24 hour warning of the mover's arrival, we received only two hours. At the time of the movers' arrival, we had 95% of our items packed. The movers kindly offered to assist in the packing, only to charge us $300 for a handful of boxes and some packing tape.
After the truck was loaded up, I offered to buy the movers dinner as a token of appreciation for their hard work. As they left, my fiance informed me that Dwane kept insinuating passes at her, letting her know how good she smelled, etc.--completely unprofessional.
Although our contract stated that items would not be delivered until 7 days after the pick-up date, Eric rudely insisted that our items would be delivered on the 4th day. After explaining to him that we would not be there early, he threatened to leave our items on the spot. Later on, Eric decided he would no longer work with us and handed us to Jeff, just as rude and classless.
When our items finally arrived, there were damaged goods and missing boxes. After several calls, and finally threats to go to the BBB, I received a form to fill to file our claims. Regardless of how it works out, I decided to post anyway.
PLEASE DO NOT USE ATOPPS! They are not worth the headache!
