My mother in law moved to live closer to the grand kids after her divorce. It was quite a stressful period in her life, and I knew that there were many emotions wrapped up in the house. Essentially, she needed to get out, but in the least traumatic way possible. I took the responsibility too coordinate everything. Calling around, figuring out prices digging through quotes for loopholes. She gave me an idea of what she had to move, but it was really far from an accurate inventory. I flew down the week before to help her pack and sort through what she was taking. When I called to update the inventory with Sonya, initially the price kind of shot up, but Sonya did an amazing job of helping us figure out what we could afford to leave behind to keep within our budget. Honestly, at that point she wouldn't listen to me, but she'd listen to Sonya. Anyway, the movers seemed to know intuitively that they had to handle my mother in law with kid gloves, and they were amazingly sensitive and careful to make everything as seamless as possible.
