They will tell you what you want to hear in terms of a delivery date in order for you to give them your business. The delivery date was not put on the contract. After they have your down payment and deposit, they let you know that in the contract (2 pages of very small print) it says "ANY ORAL PROMISES MADE REGARDING DELIVERY OR PICK UP DATES AND TIMES ARE MERE ESTIMATES. GGBT GUARANTEES DELIVERY TO TAKE PLACE WITHIN THIRTY (30) BUSINESS DAYS OF THE DATE FIRST AVAILBLE FOR DELIVERY." (not pickup, but delivery). That means they can tell you anything they want and it means NOTHING, because once you signed the contract you have accepted this. So, in my case, I had my pickup on July 1, on June 18th they agreed to have my stuff delivered from California to North Carolina on July 13th. Well, about 4 days prior to my pickup, I called just to make sure everything was still on schedule, I got Marissa who told me that she couldn't "guarantee" it was going to be there by the 13th, so I said I was promised this, and she put me through to her manager. He told me "no one can guarantee a date", so I told him I was cancelling the job. He told me if I could give him until the 18th it would be there for sure, maybe not on the 18th, but between the 13th and 18th. I said OK and left it at that. After they picked up my stuff, I called around the 5th of July, to see how far along my stuff was, and Marissa told me she's still working on getting it shipped out. I was told the same thing several times. At this point I asked how it was going to get to NC on time. She then told me, they have 30 days to get it to me! Imagine having a baby and young kids, and you are at your new home with NO crib, beds, furniture, cookware, and clothes (both for the kids and work clothes, suits, dresses etc.) for up to 30 DAYS. You have to go out and buy clothes, cookware, and possibly rent furniture or stay on the floor! They don't care, they don't return calls, I asked to speak to the Manager time and time again and he NEVER to this day (Aug 7) has called me. The stuff was finally delivered on July 29th. I was supposed to get a weight certificate, which I didn't and I am still waiting for it. I talked to Marissa on Aug 2, she said she'd mail it, she hasn't, and has not returned any of my 4 calls since. I need the weight certificates in order to get re-imbursed for some of my expenses. Though no reimbursement will be given for the money that had to be put out to replace the things needed to make life liveable until the truck came, thankfully it was ONLY 10-15 days later than originally promised, IMAGINE 30 DAYS!!! If you deal with them, ask them what is the latest they can have your stuff delivered (from the delivery date they told you). Make them then put it in writing (remember ORAL promises are only estimates per their contract). Have them then send it to you stating such, and make sure it is signed by someone over there. I'm not through with these people yet, writing this has got me even madder.
