Hidden Fees and Oblivious Sub-contracted movers

Milestone Movers quoted me a time frame and rate that was not communicated to the subcontractors they sent to my home. They arrived 90 minutes early and we were unprepared. Numerous boxes I would have had them move, I had to move myself because of their untimely arrival. I told them they were early and they offered no option of coming back later when we explained we were not ready. Additionally, the rate was significantly more than what was stated in my confirmation email. I begrudgingly signed the receipt after he would not lower the price to the agreed upon rate, because he was oblivious to what Milestone had quoted me. After the fact, when I contacted Milestone (John Daley) about the miscommunication his response was, in a nutshell, "You signed, nothing we can do." I signed the paper because I had no choice, the work was done, and the subcontractors charged me whatever they wanted because they were clueless, or just didn't care, about the rate that I was quoted and what I agreed to pay. Most disappointing is the customer service, or lack thereof, that I received after contacting the company about their inability to communicate and ensure proper charges with subcontractors that they hire. As a company, it should be their responsibility to make sure any subcontractor is aware of the agreed upon rate and follow up when they are overcharging their customers.
