Things started off good with MJ Moving Services of Austin. The turning point came when a worker dropped a heavy load down the stairs of my apartment damaging the wall and carpet all the way down. At the end of the move I spoke with Mayra (the office manager and owner's daughter). Her response was "our insurance doesn't cover that." I really don't care. You caused the damage therefore you are responsible for the repair or cost to repair. In order to get me to pay my bill they told me "we'll get someone out to repair that." That never happened and they flat refused to make repairs or pay for repairs. Mayra kept quoting state law not requiring her to carry insurance for that. Well if your insurance doesn't cover this then it comes out of your pocket. Afterwards we brought to her attention damage to expensive furniture. After making a sub-par insurance offer she agreed to have a professional furniture repair technician to my home to repair the furniture. That never happend either. Now my emails and phone calls go unanswered. I am going to have to sue them to recoup my expenses. I advise anyone looking for a moving company to stay as far away from this place as you possibly can.
