My move from CA to DC was incredibly stressful because of ORI. They picked up my stuff 10 days before my move-in date (8/18), which Tom assured me was enough time to reach DC. I called dispatch 2 days before my move-in day and they said that my stuff would arrive 1-3 days after the move-in date. I called Tom to see what he could do to speed things along- I always had to call him as he would not return my calls. Ultimately, he said there was nothing he could do and to contact the office manager.
I called dispatch on 8/17 to complain about the service. The rep I spoke to was incredibly rude and said that even though my stuff would not get there on my desired move-in date, they were still making good time. I asked to speak to the office manager, but she never returned my call.
I called dispatch on 8/20 and the rep said that the driver was in IL and would arrived in DC on 8/23-24. Finally, the movers, who were subcontracted by ORI, arrived on 8/25 at 11:15 am. They brought a 52-foot truck that would obviously not fit in the DC streets and had to rent a smaller truck. When they came back to my apartment to move my stuff in, it was 1:20 am (yes, am) on 8/26. Overall, the worst customer service I have experienced.
