They underquoted us by more than half - quoted $1700, charged $3600.
They loaded half of our things before telling us about the new charge - saying that if we didn't use them, not only would they keep our $400 deposit, but they wouldn't unload our stuff until we paid them for the hourly labor of 3 guys.
They showed up to pick up a day late with no phone call or notification.
They showed up to drop off about 3 weeks too early. We agreed with them to put our stuff in storage for 30 days before delivering it, which they didn't do. Again, no notice. They just show up one day. And of course, it's a Sunday so the office is closed. We are told by the guys delivering that if we don't accept, he has no idea what will happen to our things.
After that, we called EVERY day for over a month. They never answered the phone (but AMAZINGLY they always answered when we called before the move). No one ever returned any of our calls.
Most of our stuff was damaged. ALL of our boxes were crushed & some even had footprints on them. We filed a claim for about $250-$300 worth of items and they offered us SIX DOLLARS!!! Not even kidding - SIX DOLLARS.
R&C is a dishonest, unprofessional, disgusting excuse for a moving company. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!
