Submitted this review about Roseville Van & Storage
Review made Live: 3/7/2013 8:54:00 PM
The job was bid by Jerry who quoted 3 amounts based on hours, and a $100 storage on van of up to one week. My close date was put off over a weekend. I tried to call them between 4 and 4:30 pm and before 8 am and left messages. I also emailed that I needed to change date but I knew that was to late. THERE WAS NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM AFTER HOURS TO CHANGE. I have never heard of a vendor not calling prior to delivery or service. So I was taken a back when they showed up having not checked in with their own office or calling me to confirm that the move was going forward. There were only to be two men. Two men and a very young man showed up ( who was later injured when a filing cabinet fell on him as he was exiting the van down a ramp.) THIS WAS THE SON OF ONE OF THE MEN. The pickup time and departure was marked on the invoice (pink) for less than 4 hours. When delivered the hours were marked and I was given a green invoice. The total number of hours was 6 at $115 plus fuel charges. I asked the man completing to initial the form. The contents was not insured beyond the minimum required by law. When loading my dinning room table I had a heavy white vinyl pad that I wanted the table wrapped in because they would likely stack things on top of it. They refused. So this items had a minimum of 3 deep scratches. These were noted on the invoice. There were no followup calls or emails to my bringing to their attention these scratches and a broken marble lamp base. I will follow this up at other review sites. There is too much competition in this area, it was a local move, to let this conduct go by without response.
