Horrible Moving Experience

I had quotes given by 2 other well-known moving companies and when I contacted Top Quality I was assured by Robert that they would beat any other quote by $1. Much to my surprise they quoted me much lower than the other companies. Total quote was just over $2,900 total and my other quotes were between $4,000 - $4,500. Initial contact with Robert was good until they had my deposit. Come moving day is when things went from good to horrible. The movers came on time, but all of the sudden my initial move cost went from $2,900 - $4,900. Funny how it was right in the range of the other 2 quotes I received. At this point though you have no options as my move was booked a month prior and I was ready to go. I understand a quote is just a quote but to be inflated by that much is ridiculous. 3 men came into my home for the move. I was told it was ok to leave clothing inside the dresser drawers which I did. Juan (head mover) stated otherwise but when I advised I have previously discussed this with management he said ok. I was downstairs monitoring while a very important piece of mine was wrapped when I went back upstairs to find the movers removing clothing (including my undergarments) and placing them into a box. They used my restroom on more than one occasion which would be fine but please have the courtesy to ask. Dirt was tracked all throughout my home, tape and misc. trash was left in every room, and my lawn was ran over by the moving truck. I was also solicited for a tip at the end of all of this. I was unsuccessful with getting any answers from Rob, as to why certain things on the contract were added, why the price increase, when the heck my stuff was arriving, all very important things. The only call I eventually did get was from the driver who confirmed my address and gave me a 10 hour notice that he will be arriving and told us we needed cash for the entire move amount. I had already paid ½ so communication within the company is lacking. Come to moving day the mover went to the wrong house initially on the other side of town. When he did get to our home and they started unloading one major problem, this was not our stuff! Eventually it was worked out but I still have yet to hear from Management here. I strongly advise using another company that is transparent, trustworthy and reputable. Unfortunately I do not have 1 good thing to say about Top Quality.
