Very unprofessional and bad customer service

I most certainly would not recommend anybody to united van lines for their move, especially the one from Kenosha, WI (Otto Nelson Moving). They are were very unprofessional and had very poor customer service. My wife and I moved from from Milwaukee, WI to Dallas, TX. Initially the agent was very friendly and sweet talk you that if anything were to happen with the move they would certainly take care of it, however this definitely was not the case. I had them pack only about 20% of our belongings and every item they packed was broken and we had couple items that went missing. We had a glass coffee table we had them pack, which was scattered into many pieces. Some of the items were intentionally damaged, there is absolutely no way these items could have been damaged accidentally! Everything I packed was perfectly fine and without any damages. They gave us a standard delivery window of 4-12 days, which is common for moving companies, however we did not receive our items until 3 weeks later. The first time they tried to deliver out stuff, they brought another shipment. The wrong shipment was suppose to be delivered to New York. Instead our stuff ended up going to New York, which delayed an entire week for us to get our stuff. So our shipment when from Milwaukee to Dallas to New York and back to Dallas. They told us that we would know an actual date at the time of pick up, however they never gave us that information. During all this time of the mix up, they never updated us of where our stuff was and what was going on. I had to call them every time in order to get this information. I would leave messages and nobody would call me back. We had booked a vacation few days after the 12 days of delivery, which we had to cancel because our shipment was delayed another week. We lost about two thousand dollars from our vacation because we had to cancel as our shipment was mixed up. United van lines never offered us any sort of reimbursement. Nothing from the vacation or even the actual shipment! All I got was a "Sorry", and they didn't really seem to care. I ended up losing about $5,000 during this entire move without any sort of reimbursement. It was been two months and we have not yet been reimbursed for all the missing and damaged items! Everything that could go wrong with the shipment went wrong. It's definitely one of those stories you hear about bad moving companies. We were unfortunate to have this experienced ourself. This is why I am posting this review in hopes that nobody else has to go through this horrible experience. Most definitely would not recommend this company to anybody!
