Do not sign a contract with United States Van Lines because it doesn't mean a thing! One month ago we paid them money and signed a contract that "guaranteed" pickup over a 2 day period. Those two days went by, and we never saw a truck. Working with their customer service was horrendous. I was always put on hold for at least 15 minutes before speaking with anyone. A few times I even heard someone answer the phone and just hang up. Forget about asking to speak with a supervisor, because they're either never available or you're told they'll call you back and never do (happened 8 times). I never received a straight answer for why a truck was never assigned to us or why they were not able to tell us when they could get a truck out to us. And this was all happening days after we had planned to move.
They did not fulfill their end of the contract, I was late for a job that I was starting half-way across the country, and they didn't seem to mind at all.
