Absolutely worst moving experience we've ever had (out of 4). Recently moved from Virginia to Maine. Almost every commitment Victory made, they broke. Victory promised that the same driver would be in charge of loading and off-loading our goods to ensure accountability and continuity. . Didn't happen. They hired a local contractor who was undermanned and inexperienced, took 12 hrs to load the truck (estimated time was 6 hrs), unloaded all our goods in a local warehouse, then was never heard from again. A much smaller truck showed up in ME about 6 days later with a different driver, only 70% of our furniture, and no invoice for either what was on his truck nor what he left behind in VA. We had no prior notice of the partial delivery, and neither the driver nor Victory's corporate office could say when the remainder of our possessions (euphemistically referred to as "overflow inventory") would be delivered. Notably, of the 3 antique pieces we owned, all arrived seriously damaged or had key parts missing and never recovered. When I informed corporate office that I assumed full payment would not be due until full delivery was made, corporate (Bill Quinn) ordered the movers to stop unloading the truck midway through, and threatened me with heavy additional storage costs if I didn't make full payment immediately. He was apparently acting on direction of EVP Dave Kennedy. My offer to make partial payment of 70% for the partial delivery was dismissed outright, citing Allied's policy of full payment upon delivery. He refused to acknowledge it was only partial delivery, and he couldn't provide any date XXXmuch less any plans XXXfor delivery of the remainder. After a 1-2 hr stand-off, he accepted about 90% of payment and only then permitted the off-loaders to continue. As for the remaining 30% of our furniture, a separate inventory had never been created. Only when I demanded one did they send someone to their VA warehouse 3 days later to create it. Apparently, the remaining 30% of our furniture was then moved from Victory's VA warehouse to their Maryland warehouse (uploaded and off-loaded each time), by who we don't know before it was uploaded to another truck by a new driver and delivered to ME 9 days after originally promised. It had been uploaded and offloaded 3 times before it arrived. Absolute lack of accountability throughout the process. Phone calls to our original salesman Mike (who had promised personal involvement throughout) went unreturned. Our assigned "Domestic Relocations Coordinator,"Tabby, offered to have Victory EVP Dave Kennedy call us, but the call never came XXXnor did we ever receive any acknowledgement or apology from Victory for their substandard performance, lack of professionalism, or quasi-extorsionary business practices. I intend to report their business practices to the Better Business Bureau, but thought others should be forewarned sooner.
