This is not spam....I am posting this review on as many Websites as I can find in order to warn others DO NOT USE American Eagle Movers
American Eagle Movers' salesman is likable and promises great service. The contract the company sends with their estimate also promises competent, professional, reliable service....All looks good until the movers arrive - late, without padding to protect furniture, refusing to pack breakable items properly, and so rushed to get on to their next job that they do slip-shod work, cuss and swear about how hard their job is, and refuse to adhere to the delivery times (8am-9pm) stated in their contract.
They remained in our home until 4am against our insistence that they leave and finish unloading the next day. Once we fell asleep, they stopped placing items correctly and loaded our garage with large appliances, most boxes, and furniture. When we woke and asked them to place the items in the proper rooms, as per their contract, they told us to “hire a local mover” to complete the job we paid them over $10,000 to do.
Upon inspection, we found most of our furniture had been moved without any padding and was severely damaged. Our home also had damage.
American Eagle Movers’ trick is that they require all paperwork and payment upfront. If you don’t pay and sign their Bill of Lading contract, they refuse to take items off the truck and threaten to place them in storage and charge additional storage fees.
If you can reach the Claim’s Department at all, they proclaim the Bill of Lading the customer is required to sign BEFORE the van is unloaded is proof that the movers completed the job to your satisfaction.
Beware….it is my strong suspicion, due to idiosyncrasies in wording and writing style, that American Eagle Movers post raving reviews about their own company to offset complaints.
