Who will save us from bad experiences with moving companies?

Across USA moving was prompt in selling the move to me and picking up my household items from TX. They havent delivered the items to PA after 14 days of pickup. Everytime I call them, all I get are some explanations about why my items didnt make it to the delivery truck. They contacted me for credit card approval 7 days after pickup! They said they usually contact the customer few days before delivery! They offered these explanations for why my items didnt make it to the pickup truck 1) Drivers were away/not available for 2 days 2) Its thanks giving time, expect delays 3) There wasnt enough space on the delivery truck 4) No idea why the items didnt make it to the truck starting on a specific day etc etc.
These guys are pathetic in even coming up with these explanations! Right now I dont know if my goods will be delivered in the next 5-15 days! They even offered 25$ per day compensation from the delivery date and I told them that I'm interested in receiving my items first!
