Moved from FL to CA and couldn't have imagined the amount of unneeded stress from any moving company, even after hearing horror stories from friends about other companies. I have no idea how this company has so many good reviews, I can only assume it's friends and family of the company.... OH- know this- the sales team are pros! They're fantastic to deal with and provide you with a lot of information... but once your order is processed, that all changes- and your original guy will NEVER call you back nor help you out again. anyway- to the point... errr- points: - sales guy gave me a move out date (July 12). Said usually they give a 2 day window, but he could guarantee a specific date since it was in Orlando. Also told me they would definitely 100% deliver prior to August 1st. None of this was true. - Had to call them multiple times the days leading up to the move out in order to get a time. - Called again evening before the move date to get a time since I hadn't heard back. only then was told my moving date would be different. I expressed concern, as I was flying out that following day and was told it wouldn't be a problem- they would be fast and get there early. (also, my roommate took the day off work... now unnecessarily. This will be a factor later) - movers showed up 45 minutes later than the 2 hour window day of move (July 13th). - bf and I almost missed my flight on move out day due to the movers.- PS- it was only a 2 man team for the move out - noticed after they left that they inventoried ALL of my items (including some almost brand-new furniture) as "old/scratches all over." they were so late day of that I couldn't check this. the nicest bits were only a few months old) - I had very clear piles of boxes and items to distinguish mine vs. my roommates. Since they came a day later AND were late, my bf and I spent most of our time packing up things we had paid them to pack up (glass table tops)- instead of watching all the stuff. Also, my roommate wasn't able to help watch them since she took the original scheduled date off work and couldn't change her schedule..... they ended up with one of her boxes. They were mostly helpful in getting the box back to her (we realized it the following day). They wouldn't bring it back to the house, and I was already in CA. Three days later I got a call while I was at work saying that the box was downtown orlando and I needed to come pick it up from someone's house within the next hour.... so- no warning, and I wasn't in town. Roommate was busy too. Luckily, the place was right next door to a bar, and the bar agreed to hold it for us! (I gave them a great review on yelp!!). So she eventually got it back. - I heard no updates on when they would definitely arrive in LA, and I was rushing to find an apartment in time.... I settled on a place *just* in time for July 31st move in date! (note, I settled... had I known I had an extra 2 weeks to find an apt.....) - Had to call them multiple times to try to get a date. Finally heard about their customer service department (methinks they hired that company just at that time, since it came about as a surprise one day after talking to a single person at Agility over and over).... was told to make a request online and wait for a confirmation.... so- still no information. Told them the sales guys (Brandon and Michael were mine) told me it would be delivered by July 31st.... They told me the contract said 7-21 days from date of pickup.... of course, pickup was one day late.... so now I'm told it should be delivered by the 3rd. - Here it is august 3rd. I'm in my new, and empty, apartment. Thanks agility van lines. - I call every other day or so trying to get an update. and am finally told that my stuff has LEFT florida after the 3rd (to recap, it was supposed to ARRIVE by the 31st) - I find out one day ahead that they're coming on the 13th. I guess that's normal, but it was definitely the worst day they could have chosen for me to miss work. I planned to come in the second half of the day, which would be ok.... except.... - movers showed up 45 minutes later than the 2 hour window again (different movers)... I thought it might take 3-4 hours. it took over 5. I missed a very important day of work. - movers brought in various items and boxes that weren't mine. I caught most of them before they made it upstairs. One item, a beautiful, large, old mirror made it into my apartment. I told the guys it wasn't mine. He said it was too heavy to bring back down- "take a look," he said, "if you like it- it's yours!"... I told him again that it was not mine. he asked again if i wanted to keep it.... he finally took it back downstairs. This happened with another few items. One item they brought back downstairs and later we found it was still there when they had gone. They left it outside (it was just an ikea end table, so much less a big deal than someone's potentially antique mirror). - I'm missing 2 boxes. some boxes & furniture damaged. - Order 3119910. feel free to fact-check.
