When moving my son from Venice, FL to Punta Gorda, FL, I called All My Sons in Venice, FL & spoke to Connie who was very pleasant on the phone. She quoted me a flat $99 per hour & emphasized they were different from other companies in that they did not charge for gas, travel time, etc. They arrived promptly, loaded the truck & arrived at the destination. Halfway through the move, with the most expensive items left on the truck they gave me a bill for $872 with no breakdown on the charges. Total time was 5-1/2 hrs. I spoke to "Connie" on the phone again & she was short, curt & stated that if I didn't pay what they wanted, the drivers would leave with our belongings. I had to pay to be able to get the remaining items off the truck - overcharged at least $200 with no explanation & no breakdown on the charges. I have filed a complaint with the Florida Dept of Consumer Services & they are investigating them. She also added an additional 2% to be able to use AMEX.
