When the team arrived at my home to pack my belongings it was clear that 4 of the 5 people either had never packed professionally before, or had never been trained. The team leader ws very consciencious, but clearly frustrated, having to re-pack many boxes. Breakables were not cushioned properly in the bottom of boxes, and glass was not wrapped properly. At the point of delivery the 2 men who unloaded the truck were extremely vocal about how poorly the truck had been loaded, with many very heavy items stacked on top of light items. My mattress was not wrapped or protected at all, and was dragged through the mud into the house, arriving filthy. My TV was broken, and several boxes literally fell apart because they had not been taped correctly. My bbq grill was cracked and dented. I was left with a mess. As I unpacked I also found several broken items as well as the theft of money (cash and coins) that I had collected from my travels around the world, and stored in a small vase. The money really had very little value, but was important to me for sentimental reasons. The team unloading me were also appalled at the condition of several boxes as well as the ridiculous condition of my mattress. They told me pointedly that I would have to "STAY ON TOP OF THEM" to get any kind of response to my issues. As a cancer patient, I cannot be exposed to bacteria and my mattress was simply unusable. I have been waiting for over a month for the president of the company, Eric DeWeerd, to respond to my concerns. I have wasted time and energy attempting to communicate with several members of this company, including the president, who appears to have no concern at all in regards to my complaint. And why should he? He has my money. And perhaps because I am a cancer patient he thinks I will simply either give up, or maybe even DIE, thus releasing his company from any obligation. mr DeWeerd's last correspondence to me was on September 12, when he stated he was "back in town and would get with Brian (his Ops guy) as he has time to get with everyone involved..." Of course I have never heard back. It is extremely disappointing to be treated this way, not only as a consumer, but as a human being. I have worked in customer service for the past 20 years, and I would have fired any of my employees who treated a client with such disregard.
