Cancelled last minute

I scheduled this move several days in advance. I spoke with several people over the course of the next few days. All were pleasant. I got a quick estimate of "something over $300". This was for about a dozen pieces of furniture, no boxes, no stairs, 10 miles down the road. Not a bad price, and I knew it was an estimate. Next I spoke with a someone named Scott (I think). We got closer to a price "$365", and told me I would be picked up in the morning of the day scheduled. That was terrific. Then the day that we confirmed the move I spoke with a gal. Then the cost went to $365 plus some surcharges. OK...it was the day before the move, I had already schedule my time off work, and how much more could it be, huh? However, she said I was not scheduled for the morning, but for the afternoon. Again, I'm in a bind, had to go with it. Then I got a call back and said the morning move cancelled (within 3 minutes of my phone conversation with her), and we could do it in the morning. TERRIFIC. I was pleased. Then, I get up at 6am, because I have to go from North Dallas to McKinney, and I have a couple of things to do before the movers get there. About 7:45 I receive a phone call on my cell (remember, I'm at the move out property), telling me that the driver called in sick, and they wouldn't be able to move me. I'd need to go to work, and take another day off. UMmmm, no. He said he'd try to fit me in. While I was waiting for him to "fit me in", I obtained a comparable move quote, and a same day move from another moving company. They fit me in just fine. I will be leaving a GLOWING review for The Apartment Mover. All this at the end of a terrible ordeal of my father passing the month before and we were closing out his apartment. I have another move coming up in April, and rest assured, All My Sons Moving will NOT be on my list.
