I had thought the moving crew of four was polite and professional when they began moving my furniture. That was until the part where I discovered two platinum and diamond rings magically "missing" out of my jewelry box during the course of the move. I had left the jewelry boxes in my dressing room (took them off of the bedside tables to be moved). I accompanied the moving ppl to the storage unit and returned to the house. I reflexively checked my jewelry boxes...all of my yellow gold jewelry seemed to be there but the only two platinum pieces of jewelry (rings with diamonds) I had were GONE.
I called the crew leader immediately. He asked his crew if any of them knew anything about it...of course no one knew anything. One ring was an 2c Blue Nile signature anniversary band and and the other was a platinum/diamond cocktail ring from my deceased grandmother I'd had for nearly 30 years.
I then called the company twice, since I got no return call the first time I called. Attitude was very cavalier and frankly rude. When I asked on the second call why I received no return call, the lady said she didn't plan to return my call until I filed a police report. I filed a police report.
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING AND UPSETTING. Replacement value of the rings is over 12G; sentimental value, priceless.
Am reporting to BBB. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. (Or expect to overpay AND guard all of your valuables!)
