I called All My Sons in Little Rock initially for a move and was given an estimate of $1500-$1600 after I described the size of my home and the furniture I had.
One business day before the move they called to confirm and revised the estimate up to $2500. When I protested about the $1000 increase, which nearly doubles the amount I was originally quoted, the response was on the order of, "Aww, shucks, our salesguy is so young and enthusiastic, isn't he?"
Luckily I was able to find someone else on short notice.
