Moving is stressful, and All My Sons did nothing to help the matter. They made it ten times worse! I will never hire them again.
When I signed up, they said they would try to get a morning time for my move. They called a day before the move and said it would be “early afternoon” before they could move me. I was unhappy about this, because I had planned otherwise, but it was manageable.
Moving day came and we had not heard from them. I called several times to see if they could give me any idea when they would be there. Around 3.30 I started to get mad. This was not what I signed up for, and the representative on the phone was completely unhelpful. He couldn’t tell me when they would arrive, and he would call when they were on their way, so please stop calling. Apparently it was the busiest moving day of the year, so it’s not their fault. It was my fault for not understanding how they do things.
We sat there with everything packed for the entire day with no idea when they would arrive. Finally at 6.15 at night the two movers arrived. My house was their third house, and they were exhausted. They were nice guys, but they were not quick. I called to complain and I was told that the movers had arrived “after noon” as promised. So they covered their ass, basically.
Plus the move ended up being 100 over what I expected because of the tired movers. They told me the average move is 3 hours, so why did it take 5 to move my one bedroom apartment?
I told him I would let everyone know how I was being treated. I do not think that my anger was misplaced. I felt lied to and tricked. If they had stated my house would have been the third moved by two tired guys and we wouldn’t be finished until 11 at night, I would have found someone else.
All My Sons Movers should have owned up to their mistakes and compensated me in some way. But, all I got from them was “Sorry you are inconvenienced, but we said “after noon,” so you can just deal with it. Well deal with this All My Sons. Because I am posting it on every review site available.
