WHOEVER LEAVES THIS COMPANY A POSITIVE REVIEW IS OBVIOUSLY PAID TO DO SO BY THE COMPANY BECAUSE THERE IS NOT 1 GOOD THING TO SAY ABOUT ALL SERVICES MOVERS INC. YOU WILL DODGE A HUGE BULLET BY USING ANOTHER COMPANY. I spoke to Derrick on August 6th about my move. He told me that they would be picking my items up from my storage unit on August 10th or 11th and that I would receive a phone call 24 hours in advance before the pickup. He also told me that they are not allowed to deliver my items until at least 8 days after the pick up which would make my first date of arrival on August 18th (you will see why they tell you this later on in my review). He quoted me $1628.28 for my moving costs and told me that there would be no extra charge for living on the 2nd floor at the destination..that the 1st flight of stairs is free. I also asked him about the budget trucks and people not working for the company from previous reviews and he told me that was absolutely not true and that they have their own trucks and their own employees. I received a phone call from the driver on the 9th saying that they would be at my storage unit between the hours of 9 and 11am. My parents went to my storage unit at 9am to wait for them. I received a phone call at 11am saying that they were going to be a couple of hours late because the girl scheduled for pick up after me had to catch a flight and they needed to go load her stuff first. So, my parents had to stay longer to wait for their arrival and ended up being there all day. Also, they arrived in a budget truck to pick up my items and did not work for All Services Movers..they are contracted through them from other companies. AND THEY ADDED ON $584.71 AT PICKUP. On August 22nd, I called to see when my items would be arriving because Derrick told me that he was 90% sure that my items would be delivered before the 18th, so I took off 4 days to plan for unpacking. My items had not even left the warehouse in St. Louis yet. I called again on 25th to see how the process was coming along and it still had not left the warehouse. Tasha or whatever her name is at customer service told me that I would be receiving a discount since it was going to be delivered after the 21 days. She also said that someone was scheduled to pick up my items that week. On the 28th, I received a call from Derrick saying they were going to be picking my items up on the 29th and that I would be receiving a phone call from the driver that evening. I asked him what the total at pick up was and the total he gave me did not have a discount. I asked him about it and he said that I was eligible for a discount but he could't let me know the total until Monday September the 1st. I never received a phone call from the driver, so I called customer service again and spoke to Tasha. She said that the driver had a family emergency and was unable to pick up my items and that they were trying to find another driver. I received a call on September 5th saying that my items had finally left the warehouse and would be delivered to California in 4-5 days. I received a phone call from the driver on September 7th saying that they would be able to drop my items off on Wednesday the 10th. I called Tasha to get a total for my discount and she gave me a $40 discount. I asked her why I was receiving only $40 off whenever they are a month late on delivering my items. She said that I was only eligible for a 2 day discount because my 1st date of available delivery was on August 18th..that is why they tell you it is not available for delivery until 8 days after the pick up time because they know that they are going to be late and don't want to compensate you for it. I told her that I was available for delivery the day that they picked my items up and that Derrick told me the first possible date of arrival was on the 18th. She didn't listen and just continued to argue with me. I also asked why I was told i was eligible for a discount whenever I called on the 25th and she couldn't give me an answer. Whenever the drivers arrived on September 10th, he said that there was going to be an ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF $300 since I live on the 2nd floor. I told him that Derrick told me that the 1st flight of stairs was included and the guy told me that a flight of stairs is only 7 and then showed me on his paperwork. I want to know what condo complex has only 7 stairs going up to the 2nd floor..another way that they blindly screw you over!!! He also told me that he does not work for the company and that he does not know who I talked to and why they would tell me all of these things. They finished unloading my items in about 3 hours. All of my fragile boxes had been dumped upside down and thrown all over the place. TONS OF MY ITEMS WERE DAMAGED. Every single one of my hand painted wine glasses were broken (10) and they were packed really well in tissue. My beautiful picture frame that is irreplaceable. My crockpot…how do you break a gigantic thick crockpot bowl?! My $5000 bedroom furniture has tons of scratches on it as well as my antique armoire in the living room. Also, one of my vases was broken. I have moved several times in the past 5 years and nothing has ever been damaged. They also could not find my wooden sticks to attach my mirror to my big dresser..they lost them so I have to go have some made at lowes. They said they would pay for them but fat chance on that ever happening.
