RE: All State Van Lines & Relocation, Margate, Fla Affilated company is Colonial Van Lines, Relocation Division, Margate, Fla (Same address) IF ANYONE USES THIS COMPANY FOR A MOVE, DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! My wife and I contracted All State Moving & Relocation (Margate, Fla) for a move of my deceased mother's antiques and family pieces from North Carolina to New Mexico to my brother. This had to be one of the worst experiences we've ever gone through with any service related company and the level of stress we we experience for the move of family pieces was unbelievable. This company deserves no rating what so ever. They were supposed to come to mom's place between 3-5pm. They did not show up until 8:45 pm to a retirement community where the average age of the residents is 85. We had conversations with All State and the moving contractor prior to them showing up and they knew this was a retirement community. The driver & owner, EDWARD S, of Brocks Moving and Storage of Hannawa Falls, NY (the contractor), this guy was argumentative with us and borderline threatened us. He told us he lost his dog (died) that day and his being late was our fault in the most recent conversations we had with the broker, All-State, and last minute changes. We paid for last minute changes...what does that have to do for being 3+ hours late?? He took no responsibility for anything. My wife and I raised so much Hell with All State that EDWARD S did not show up at my mothers. So just two showed up instead of three. I'm glad I did not have plans that night for work or on a personal level!!! The team called us about 90 minutes out and wanted to know where they could get/purchase packing materials. ASKING US WHERE THEY COULD GET PACKING MATERIALS? They knew ahead of time of what was needed and what we contracted for. They brought nothing with them to pack mother's stuff!!!! No boxes. No bubble wrap. No paper. No dish packs. No tape. Everything we contracted for through All State at the time we selected them (mistake!). They had to go to Lowes Home store and get boxes (not enough needed as originally contracted),tape, & packing material. They had ONE roll of bubble packing wrap. Nothing else. Fortunately, we had packing paper they had to use from our own packing. OUR PAPER!! Antique wall clocks were wrapped in blankets and not boxed! They did not leave until about 1:15AM the next morning. This was from mother's retirement community. They packed and loaded up from 9pm to 1am in a retirement community. There were complaints the next day when I was there doing my final clean up of the apartment. At the delivery in New Mexico they blamed us for rushing them. They got there late and finished late. Not our fault. Theirs!!!!! The only highlight was the two guys that showed up were polite and courteous. They never told us the furniture had to go to New Jersey, then go to NM. Too much traveling for antiques, etc. Had we been advised of this, we probably would not have selected these clowns. Also, we had no weighing of the truck or our stuff, as promised & contracted, before they left. So who's word were we to take about the final weight???? In the days after, All State was absolutely no help to give us satisfaction for what we went through on the night they packed. Nothing. They listened. They apologized. LEIGHANN WARD was our Moving Coordinator at All State. She was all about customer service before they showed up. That night she stopped taking our calls and never once returned our messages in the days following. SHE WAS WORTHLESS in the end from a customer service standpoint. No help. All State put blame on us for signing off on everything that night. Sure! What were we supposed to do at 1AM in the morning with everything packed up, lack of materials, and a deadline to be moved out of the retirement community??? All State was all about us up until the day of the move, but did nothing to take control or help us for what we went through. At delivery in New Mexico, pieces of antique glassware and dishes were broken and shattered. One wall clock was broken. Again, blamed on us for being rushed at packing. Driver EDWARD S admitted they were not properly packed. But it was our fault. How about the lack of proper packing materials and boxes??? In the end, All State is nothing more than a broker. They sub contract another company to do your move. THEY HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THEIR CONTRACTORS (the AGENT) OR THE EXPERIENCE YOU WILL HAVE WITH THEM. THEIR CONTRACTORS ARE LOW GRADE AND BUSH LEAGUE AT BEST. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE. YOU WILL REGRET YOUR DECISION. READ THE OTHER REVIEWS ON THIS COMPANY. THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED EXPERINCE. I don't know how or why this company stays in business. I don't know how they keep employees employed with what they have to go through with angry, unhappy, and disgruntled customers. AGAIN, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
