Our stuff was loaded onto truck on 9/26 in Owenton, KY. We were told our stuff would be in AZ in 3 to 5 days. It actually arrived on 10/29. Our couch and a side table are missing. Our Amish heater and microwave are both damaged.
When I asked where our couch was they told us it was not on the inventory. They called their boss who said it would be on the next truck coming this way. That was almost 4 weeks ago. Alliance brokered our move to You Box It in Atlanta, they took our stuff to a warehouse in Atlanta and there it sat for about 30 days. The folks that delivered our stuff were from a mover in Boston, Massachusetts named Dennys.
Lets talk about money. We gave Alliance $500.00 on 8/11. We gave You Box It $500.00 on 9/26. On October 25 we were told we had to go to a Bank of America and deosit $150.00 into their account, we did that on 10/26. Then we gave them $666.50 when they got to our new home. Always wanted cash and would not even begin to unload our belongings until we gave them the balance. A move that should have been about $1300.00 actually amounted to $1866.50.
Alliance never once told us they were a broker. May I suggest that if you looking at a moving co. always ask first if they are a broker.
