Yes, there are many moving companies who would give you quotes that are cheaper than a cab fare to the airport. I made the mistake of hiring one of them online. They didn’t show up on the moving day. No one took my calls and I had no other way of reaching them. I got so frustrated. Then I called Alliance van lines for immediate help. It’s one of the leading moving companies. So I wouldn’t dare to think they would be cheap. But, just to frustrate me further, they quoted a price that is way lower than what I had anticipated. The good thing was that they dispatched some movers right away who came and helped me with the move. They performed the move professionally. There were no issues anywhere. But then again, had I known they charge so little, I wouldn’t even bother hiring any other company.
