Stay far, far away from this moving company! They undercut a quote from a competitor by nearly $2,000 and then added hidden fees so that my final bill actually cost more than the competitor would have charged. Delivery drivers used vulgar language in front of my children. They also threatened to leave my items on the street because I was upset that they refused to take my bedroom furniture upstairs. I was told that the 1st flight of stairs was free, but then the driver told me the first 7 steps are free. Then the agent told me no, the first 10 steps are free. Is this common practice to count stairs? They told the dispatcher that I have over 30 stairs (my flight upstairs actually has 14). After many phone calls placed to the dispatcher, the company agreed to move furniture upstairs. Many of my belongings are damaged and broken including dishes, broken glass in frames and the legs were snapped off my dining room chairs. The van did not arrive until evening so outside was pitch black and drivers did not carry flashlights so I have no idea if all of my items were taken off of the truck. Two matresses not belonging to me were included with my belongings. Alliance sub-contracts and arrived in a Mayflower truck. They do not accept credit cards or personal check and their accepted methods of payment (US postal money order) are completely inconvenient and ridiculous. Alex, the agent has been harrassing me since I told him that I am going to be in touch with the BBB. He texts me repreatedly and uses vulgarities. What a nightmare!!!!
