I used to work at a moving company, so to hearing about scams, lost possessions and legal disputes involving certain moving companies, the choice of a professional moving service has become a real treasure hunt when my mom and I decided to move. Nevertheless, from my experience I knew that AmeriCarrier had the most movers among all relocation services. We had a large pile for Van Lines, AmeriCarrier, and Bekins. All three one's are the company to go for. AmeriCarrier However, charges less than the rest two because they're active in 50 states, as far as I know. In my experience with AmeriCarrier in order to benefit from a good collaboration, it was of paramount importance to inform the company on the preferences or characteristics of my move and it applies to every prominent moving service. So, I started with the date of the move and see which is the one that best suits both my mother and I. I discussed about any additional charge that brings other conditions into the equation. I really didn't need much help with packing though. But they not only packed them but also supplied the materials for free. So ask them about that, and tell them I referred you :) Should the company supply you with packing materials? :) You can tell the difference between a good and a poor moving company by the extent of the services they provide, the specificity of the information, the performance of the web page and the assistance they offer to their customers. A moving service that includes tracking facilities is surely a clear indicator of professionalism and reliability. Top quality businesses will also include mentions on valuable transports and storage facilities too. Price is not relevant if you do not know what exactly you are going to get for the money. Don't feel afraid to ask the mover about how long they have been in the business, what sort of experience they have and whether there are any referrals to turn too. Check the insurance cover and always avoid those services that do not provide a quote in writing with "electronic signature". AmeriCarrier did great for us and I'd definitely refer a company like theirs. There are many other good ones, but this one is in good books through experience.
