Definition of a moving nightmare

This company defines a "moving nightmare." I have never written an online review but feel compelled to do so to spare you from the enormous headache you will go through if you use this company. In brief, here was my experience: We spoke with a sales rep, Sam, who promised us the world and scoffed at the bad reviews of this company that we had seen. They were by far the cheapest offer and everything we asked for was accommodated... when booking. We never heard from Sam again despite many efforts to reach her. We were told we would get a call the day before the delivery to confirm our inventory and delivery time, etc. We never received the call but called to confirm ourselves. We were told no one was available to talk with us and promised a call back which we never received. When no one showed up or called the next day during our delivery window, I called again...and again...and again. I kept being promised a call from the dispatcher but never received one. Eventually, they stopped answering the phone. At long last, hours later at 9:00 PM I received a call from Phillip, the dispatch manager. He says point blank that they are not able to complete the move, referencing something that happened with their truck days earlier. I was baffled as to why they never contacted me to tell me this days earlier so I could make alternate arrangements. He claimed he tried to call but admitted that he did not leave a voicemail, did not try multiple times to reach me, and did not email us despite having our email address. Pathetically, he said "he thought about emailing me but was busy...!" Phillip refused to help me make alternate arrangements and refused to help pay for alternate arrangements. He even admitted that they don't care about their reputation, as they are not a large company, that all moving companies have bad reviews so there is "nothing I can do", and said that they are aren't going to do anything for me. He claimed to be the most senior-level person I could speak with and the owner, Ofer Saballego (sp?), was abroad. I was stuck canceling my flight for the next day, rescheduling a job interview, and begging my landlord to let me stay another day to figure this debacle out on my own, with no help from AmeriCarrier despite the fact that this was their doing. STAY AWAY!
