i needed a spur of the moment mover. called AmeriCarrier on a friend's recommendation, and Terry returned my call within 10 minutes, saying the team was finishing a job in Agoura Hills but could be in Crenshaw in an hour! It sounds like they do brisk business in LA, and they totally deserves it. Super friendly and professional on the phone, and in person. Philip arrived a few minutes early and together we were able to move all the stuff in 1 hour and 45 minutes, from south cranshaw to encino.
Ladies: seeing that we need to be exta-aware of which company to go with, allow me to vouch for Americarrier as a decent and respectful organization. I never felt skeeved out; conversation en route was easy and pleasant. Bonus points: he complimented me on my brute strength! (I'm used to people assuming I'm a wimpy hipster.)
Upon finishing the job, he stuck with the original rate he quoted on the phone and pro-rated the extra 15 minutes instead of charging me for a full 2 hoursXXXWOW.
