They offer a "binding quote" that will not change...that is until they load your stuff onto the truck and then tell you the price is almost double. The movers then after increasing my price dramatically, told me that they are used to being tipped 10 to 15 % of the cost. Well let's see here, I was supposed to pay 1300 and now it is almost 2000 and I had so little furniture and brought it all to ground level by the door so it took about 20-30 minutes to load at most. You expect me to give you a 200 dollar tip? So whatever, this guy is an idiot so I just disregard his statement. They tell me that my stuff will take about a week and a half to get to Oregon. To be fair they had 21 business days. I call several times to find out where my stuff is and this company almost NEVER answers their phone. When they do they do not help you at all and multiple times I would be transferred to someone and they would say "hello" and just immediately hang up. After demanding to know where my stuff was, they told me it was in Missouri and would be there in a few days. Once it again didn't arrive and I told them I was going to report my stuff stolen, they told me it had never been in Missouri and hadn't even left yet. A week or so later I finally get the number of a driver, and this is about a month into it, after being lied to that the move was already taking place, and the driver had just received the job 2 days prior. They eventually told me that after 21 business days that I would be rewarded 30 dollars a day off the price. The truck driver showed up 38 days after the pickup, and 8 days after the 21 business days. He told me AMG had given my job to some other company and they no longer held any responsibility. They refused to honor my discount because it was late, and after telling the driver I would just get the police down there, he settled on a mere 100 dollar discount, rather than the 240 dollars that should have been deducted. AMG had given the driver no inventory sheet, or contract, just a piece of paper with my address scribbled on it. All of my boxes were smashed to shit and some so bad you could see through the holes in them. My picture frames were broken and glass shattered. I couldn't even understand how a box could get so destroyed. The guy scribbled a receipt of goods sheet with a pen on the back of that wrinkled paper with my address on it and insisted that I sign it. This company is insane. They do not care about anything and once they have your stuff on that truck they know they have you locked in and can screw you so hard. I would rather strap my household goods to my testicles and drag them 3000 miles for double the cost then ever deal with these mutts again. Seriously, do not use them. It will be the worst mistake of your life.
