I chose this mover simply because the number of favorable reviews. After my moving, I do feel the same as Jeff (see his review "Is this for real?????" at http://www.moverreviews.com/review/00066222.asp). I really doubt if they heired sb. to write good review to cheat customerd. AMS was just a shamelessly greedy middleman for my moving. They subcontracted my moving to a pretty lousy moving company called CEH Moving Inc. (US DOT: 1555159), which sent two men and a truck. Those two guys were very unprofessional, slow in doing everything, handled lots of thing in a wrong way and did not care our stuff. The time they used in packing almost tripled the time United Van Line used for a similar household.
AMS cheated me $250 by simply subcontracting my Kia Optima to a car mover. The owner & driver said they only paid him $550 and he wou550 if I contacted him at the first palce.
The worst thing happened after those two guys moved our stuff to the new house. We found that our sofa and two desks had been damaged. The two guy excused themselves using their markup sheet when they wrote when they packed. They marked quite some things as CU, which meant ¡°condition unknown¡±. Now we knew what it stood for. That became their excuse for any damage. They were simply saying that ¡°this damage was not made by us (and you lied like a fraudulent to cheat our money out)¡±. When we called AMS, AMS people repeated exactly same language. So they blame you liar if you tell them they have broken something. It was August 20, 2011, almost six months later, neither mover has paid. I believe they will never pay anything if not ordered by court. I am complaining both of them to BBB.
