I contracted a moving company (north american van lines) to move my family from Kansas to Ohio in mid-november and they quoted us $5800.00 for that move. We were supposed to be picked up on December 28th. Someone from the moving company called and told us on the 26th that they could not service our move due to the holidays and being backed up so they had to either cancel our move or re-schedule for a later date in early January which was unacceptable. I found moverreviews on the internet and contacted a few companies off of here and actually decided on americas moving services to do our move. Their quote was lower than NAVL and they said they could have us picked up the same or next day which they did (next day) and we were delivered on the 4th of January and everything went better than we anticipated. In hindsight we were glad that the other movers never showed because their price was nearly 2000 more and we recieved probably better service from americas.
