I was given a guaranteed two day pickup window for my move. They finally picked up my items 9 days after that window. Also, it took 11 days from the actual pickup date for them to deliver my items. There seemed to be a lot of extenuating circumstances as to why my move wasn't being picked up on time. I was kept updated only when I called to check on the status. The driver, Robert, as well as the office staff were always very pleasant and apologetic, but did not call me back when they said they would with any updates on the current status. My move seemed to always be dictated by other move schedules and problems. Because my driver was often delayed to pick up my move, I asked if another driver would replace him so there would not be any more delays. I was told that there was no other option, my driver was the only one they had available. They did not attempt to resolve the delays. After my items were finally picked up, another move took priority which delayed my delivery even further. That customer asked to delay THEIR delivery which ultimately delayed my delivery. I wasn't asked if this was acceptable, I was only told after I had inquired as to the status. Then the truck needed service which delayed delivery by several more days. At this point I was frustrated, but understanding to the fact that sometimes things may be out of one's control. When I finally asked about possible reimbursement for the 2 week delay, I was told that I would need to sign a document that waived all of my rights (to file any claims against the company for ANY reason) in exchange for compensation for THEIR delay. Up until this point, I had not felt targeted or purposely taken advantage of. After I received that document, I realized I no longer trusted this company. I chose to pay the full amount to preserve my rights. The company should have discounted me for their poor delivery schedule, but instead they wanted me to relinquish all of my rights in exchange for what was their responsibility. They did not attempt to resolve the delay, they did not keep me informed, and they did not offer compensation as a courtesy for their mishandling. I felt helpless and beyond disappointed with their service. I would NOT recommend them nor do I trust they would pickup/deliver on time.
