WOW...NEVER, EVER use Apartment Movers to move you. I was slated to be moved between 10 am and 3pm today. I kept calling to find out when they were coming and got the: it'll be another hour thing until because the move prior kept adding crap to their ticket. WELL, at 5:30, I called the office and was informed that they would be another 2 hours to get to my house and then do the move, putting us being completed at around 10pm. I have 2 young kids and had requested a morning move for that reason.
This was ridiculous. The manager, BRAD, was EXTREMELY rude to me and offered no apologies for the situation. He kept saying that there was "nothing he could do" and was extremely arrogant. I asked to speak with his boss and he said, in a very sarcastic tone, that would be the owner of the company. I guess he assumed that I was powerless and stuck in this situation despite their failures. WELL...I, having been in customer service management for so many years, decided that there was no way in hell
I was putting up with that crap. I called another moving company, Camelback Movers, to see if they could come out and move us and luckily they had guys willing to do it for us (even though it was 630pm by that time). SO...I called Apartment Movers and canceled my request and informed them that I would NEVER be needing their services. BRAD kept arguing with me about me canceling, trying to defend his behavior, until I hung up on him. The Camelback Movers were GREAT! And cheaper than Apartment Movers. So, if you are needing movers, stay away from Apartment Movers!!!!!! Also, The Camelback Movers said they get tons of business from people that cancel with Apartment Movers.
