We were promised: exact pack, load, and delivery dates; smaller “shuttle” size truck would pick up our belongings and would not have to be transferred to a smaller truck; professional crew; and amount not to exceed as stated on contract.
Our experience was horrific. We dealt with insulting, threatening, unprofessional employees. Everything promised to us either did not occur or was a disaster. Large semi truck arrived, moving crew did not know where they were going and said it wouldn't be delivered for 5-7 days (were guaranteed 2 days), on move in day, crew was 3 hours late and had to transfer our things into smaller truck b/c large truck wouldn't fix in manhattan (we told them this)- were informed we wouldn't get the rest of our things until next day-We had to stay in a hotel last minute when we were promised our belongings would be moved in. We were not given any reimbursement for this inconvenience and were threatened with additional charges if we “insisted on demanding this excessive amount for our motel rooms”. We are missing items, and have damaged furniture.
