I had to move a piano and 8 boxes of very sentimental things from Ct to California. I called a few moving company's and when I spoke to Gerard I felt he tried to give me a fair price. I called him so many times with worry about all the horror stories I had heard about moving company's. Each time we spoke he was very patient and kept assuring me everything would be ok. He also gave me his personal cell number when I was having issues with my own cell service. It was crunch time and I had to get my stuff out of the house I grew up in as it was being sold. Gerard didn't pressure me and said he could get it done any day I needed when I flew to CT. The movers showed up on time. They were fast and didn't seem interested in repacking my boxed as I had hoped they were going to do. They told me not to worry they would handle everything with care. The unfortunate thing was they did try to get an extra $150 from me over what I was quoted because it was a piano move. Hello???? All piano's need extra care !! Needless to say I was on the phone with customer service the whole time and got it down to $75 but by then I was so tired and just wanted to get my stuff on the road. I was told it would take maybe 2 weeks. I received a call one week later that the truck would be arriving the next day. They were great in working with me as to the time I could be home. Again, they showed up on time and unloaded the truck. They had a bit of a hard time with the piano due to the fact there were 2 guys this time as opposed to 3guys in CT. Once again the price balance given to me was more than the money order I made out. No credit this time! They took a copy of my receipt balance and accepted my money order no problem. All in all it was stressful...as a move usually is...but beside a few money issues that I don't believe Gerard had anything to do with...he was right. Everything turned out fine and the best part is NOTHING IS BROKEN !!!
